It was a quiet day when I visited, and I was the only customer at the time. This means that the food came really quickly and the staff had the time to be attentive. The food was pretty good, for basic fish and chips and the portions were generous enough. The prices have gone up since the days of my youth, but that's unavoidable, and it was cheaper than some others.

6 pm on a winters Tuesday, 2 friendly young ladies working the shop. First thing you notice is the extensive takeaway menu, and then how clean the shop is. Ordered 3 pieces of Snapper, 1 scoop of chips and 2 pineapple fritters. Order was prompt, given there was a big order in front of us. On arrival at home were pleasantly surprised by the very generous portions of everything. Batter light and crisp, fish not overcooked, very moist, chips spot on, and pineapple fritters were amazing. Highly recommended

One of the Fish and chip shops in town. Good quality. Proper 'locals' place. One star off because they were so busy, the orders were coming in thick and fast, and our fish in particular, needed a couple more minutes in the fryer. But still, pretty good F n C. Thanks Tina.
